Proverbs 17:22
A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Highland Drive Church of Christ is located in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. A small town known to some. I never walked into this church but they always place wonderful Scripture on their church sign. Thousands of cars drive by this church each day. Yet I'm not sure how many people actually notice the tid-bits of wisdom that they place on this sign. In fact, I'm not certain how many people even notice this church itself.
Such wonderful things can be applied if we choose to have a merry heart or joyful heart. As God tells us in His holy Scriptures, one who chooses to act this way will be blessed as if they're receiving medicine. But someone who has a crushed spirit will have dried up and withered bones.
